STEM Astoria, Youth Event and Parent's Night Out: Computer Coding

STEM Astoria participants will employ STEM-based coding rules to enrich their brains and learn critical thinking while gaining crucial skills. Early coding concepts naturally spark curiosity, creativity, and desire to explore and learn with others. Children make connections and intuitively explore early coding concepts, such as sequencing, looping, and conditional coding, while developing problem-solving skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and social and emotional skills all while parents are having dinner or catching up on work or errands.

STEM Astoria activities include writing and designing code for “IF/THEN/END” rules'-based LEGO mazes. STEM Astoria students will also explore coding and colorimetry through art to illustrate coding algorithms. Healthy snacks will be provided.

Materials Fee: $30 per STEM Astoria Participant or $50 for 2 Siblings
