STEM Astoria participants will learn about invertebrates and habitats using the XKids program from the Xerces Society.

This week we will focus on the migrating monarch butterfly, just characterized as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). STEM Astoria participants will learn about monarch migration, food, habitats, and practical ways even children can help the monarch butterfly population.
