STEM Astoria participants will learn about invertebrates and habitats using the XKids program from the Xerces Society. STEM Astoria participants will engage in hands-on activities that count towards earning an Invertebrate Protector Badge from the Xerces Society.

Background: The Xerces Society was founded by Dr. Robert Pyle, a Yale alumni who mentored me when I was in elementary school. We remain friends and I never miss a chance to see him read at an independent book store.
