STEM Astoria participants will learn about invertebrates and filters in invertebrates and natural materials using the XKids program from the Xerces Society. This week students will follow the lives of Pulp the paper wasp, Dots the lady beetle, and Bubbles the fresh water mussel to learn about predation, ecosystems, and filtration in nature. STEM Astoria participants will engage in hands-on activities that count towards earning an Invertebrate Protector Badge from the Xerces Society.
